The local Eagle-Record newspaper recently reported the Town of St. George will host the 2023 World Grits Festival! The prestigious event will be held the weekend of April 21 – 23, 2023. On the agenda for the weekend are arts and crafts, all kinds of food, a parade, lots of vendors, and all kinds of festivities. Of course, no Grits festival would be complete without a grits-eating contest.
